I think my new startup has $100B+ potential. How would an investor feel if I offered him 30% for $10

With all due respect, your numbers would be laughed at by a VC. There are currently ~76 companies on the entire planet valued at $100 billion and up. The idea that a new start up would somehow be worth $100 billion is absurd.

Furthermore, let's just say that you are right, and the VC sees your vision and agrees that your company will actually be worth 100 billion. So they fund you. Why in the world would they agree to take a massive paycut down the line? They aren't running charities and they aren't stupid people. You're basically saying "Give me the money I need to get this moving, and as a reward, when it blows up, I'll buy your $20 billion for $600 million" ... Think about that for a second.

It guess it doesn't hurt to make this pitch, and I respect your optimism, but I'm very confident that you're going to be shown the door quite a bit.
